Dear Jalview users.

I am writing to let you know about the first Jalview hands on training
course, which takes place in the EBI training facility at the Welcome
Trust Genome Campus, Hinxton, UK from the 18th to the 19th of November.

The course spans the basic, intermediate and advanced functions of the
Jalview sequence alignment, visualisation, annotation, and analysis
system. It will be suitable for anyone who needs to create, manipulate,
annotate and publish nucleotide or protein sequence alignments, and use
them to explore biological function. We will provide introductory
material for people with little or no experience in biological sequence
analysis, but the course is also an opportunity for people with more
extensive bioinformatics knowledge to gain a deeper understanding of
Jalview. It also provides a unique opportunity for you to meet and
discuss your problems with the Jalview team.

Registration for this course costs 25 pounds. Places are limited, so
please register as early as possible.
For the full schedule and details on how to register, please see
http://www.ebi.ac.uk/training/onsite/101119-Jalview.html

Best Regards,

Jim Procter.
Jalview Coordinator.
