Ah - yes, it's a bit of a show stopper. I actually noticed it back in 
May but as yet, haven't had the chance to hunt the cause down (see the 
bug report here: http://issues.jalview.org/browse/JAL-530 ).

I will probably try to address this again when that dialog box is 
extended to support easier editing of other attributes (start/end, etc), 
but for the moment, if there are any OSX/Java developers out there who'd 
like to help out, then they'd be very welcome!
