Michelle Scott

As of September 1st 2011, I have moved to the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Sherbrooke in Canada to start my own research group in bioinformatics (link).

While in Dundee, my research interests revolved around the characterization the nucleolus using computational methods. Specific aspects of my research included investigating protein-protein interactions of nucleolar-associated proteins, predicting of the extent of nucleolar association of proteins and mechanisms of nucleolar targeting as well as the analysis of the RNA content of the nucleolus and a possible evolutionary relationship between miRNAs and snoRNAs in collaboration with Angus Lamond's group also located here at the University of Dundee. Please see the Projects section for more details.
