You may search for an EBI staff member by entering their last name here (this could be a form interface to a simple database - it would only take an hour or so's work to put the telephone list into Postgresql or Oracle).

Organisation of the EBI

An organisational chart of the EBI is shown on this page.  Be warned that this chart is nearly always out of date.  (This could be avoided if all staff members and their relationship to others was stored in a database - I can't believe that this is not already done at the EBI...)

(The information on EBI staff should be maintained by the Admin department of the EBI.  It would be the work of an afternoon for one of the web/database experts at EBI to write a little www forms interface to allow the Admin staff to enter/delete new members onto the web pages.  It could even email Rab to remind him to go and photograph the person!!)
